Out of season

„So on a summer's day waves collect, overbalance, and fall; collect and fall; and the whole world seems to be saying 'that is all' more and more ponderously, until even the heart in the body which lies in the sun on the beach says too 'that is all'.

Fear no more, says the heart. Fear no more, says the heart, committing its burden to some sea, which sighs collectively for all sorrows, and renews, begins, collects, lets fall.”

― Virginia Woolf, „Mrs. Dalloway”

The end of summer is not the end of something that was beautiful. There is no melancholy in my work. It is the beginning of something new and good. I moved to Spain at the end of 2024 after turbulences in my private life. The beginning of autumn in Andalusia feels symbolic to me, bringing a great deal of energy, love, and hope. An empty beach is an open space for a new start.
