Ormstone House Winter Exhibition

Three of my works included at Ormstone House Winter Exhibition curated by Mike Fitzpatrick and Joe Duggan. Show runs from 17 January till 12th February.

Selected artists are John Burke, Angela Darby, Vanessa Donoso Lopez, Levi Hanes, Ramon Kassam, Emmet Kierans, Bartosz Kolata, Chris Leach and Frances Leach.



Joe Duggan was born in Limerick and studied at the Royal College of Art in London, where he continues to live and work. His practice combines photography, sculpture and installation. He regularly exhibits internationally and has been reviewed in many art and culture publications. He has been the recipient of awards from the Arts Council of Ireland, the British Council, the Ranzini Foundation and Culture Ireland. He is represented by extraspazio gallery in Rome, Italy. Joe is also Director of the Heaven’s Full gallery in London. Heaven’s Full is an artist-run exhibition space working with emerging artists. Exhibited artists include Seán Lynch (2009), Nevan Lahart (2010), Michelle Horrigan (2011).

Mike Fitzpatrick is currently Head of School at Limerick School of Art and Design. From 2000-2009, he was Director/Curator of Limerick City Gallery of Art where he curated over eighty exhibitions including Simon Starling, Lindsay Seers, John Shinnors, Clare Langan, Connolly Cleary, Seán Lynch, Amanda Coogan, Tom Molloy; retrospectives by Walter Verling and Jack Donovan; and a survey exhibition of 21st century Irish art. In 2005 and 2006, he was curator of the Visual Art strand at the Kilkenny Arts Festival. He was Ireland's commissioner for the Venice Biennale in 2007 curating the artist Gerard Byrne and also curated Byrne’s work for the exhibition A Thing is a Hole in a Thing it is Not at Lismore Castle in 2010.

Mike’s personal solo exhibitions include Everything Must Go at Art in General, New York, Selling America at the Silverstein Gallery, New York. He has also shown work in Galway Arts Centre; BIAD Birmingham; Limerick City Gallery of Art; OMAC, Belfast; and Project Arts Centre, Dublin; as well as selected shows in Ireland, UK, USA, Hungry, Australia and Italy.
